Sweet Corn
We are now 60% through our sweet corn harvest and the crop quality is excellent. Sweet corn powder and IQF sweet corn factories all performing exceptionally well. finish date end of March. IQF Sweet Corn export packing underway from this week.
Tomato
As of today we are nearly 50% through our tomato harvest. The hot dry summer has meant higher brix levels which is a positive for growers. Factory performing well. The first of our 2014 tomato paste is being supplied to the market. This week we are processing our cold break tomato paste range.
Pumpkin (kabocha)
Pumpkin crops (Gisborne and Hawkes Bay) are of great quality, almost a repeat of the high standard set in 2013. The new IQF Pumpkin factory is up and running. Frozen puree expected to be in full production from next week (3rd March). Pumpkin Powder scheudled to start early April.
